Ladies and Gentlemen,
Have you ever looked enviously at successful people wondered why they are successful?
Have you ever wondered if successful people are successful just at a snap of a finger?
As our Vice-President of Education, rolled out the program sheet a day ago, I took the opportunity to reminisce the chapter that happened on the 18th.
Why was it significant?
Because as per our club president, Ted Chong delivered in his opening address:
Success takes hard work,
Success in public speaking takes hard work,
Success in toastmasters takes hard work.
The protagonist of his opening address was our local public speaking legend, prodigy and entrepreneur, Eric Feng started out in toastmasters as well. As a toastmaster, he was hungry, hungry for stage time, stage time, stage time. At one point, he was even speaking nearly 365 days a year, either as a speaker, or as an evaluator!!!
Speaking at toastmasters is a platform to one's success, and its such a privilege to speak, and its ridiculous that that there are actually people who reject the platform when offered!!! Can you believe it?
However this is not the case for the following speakers: Jaspreet, MingJian, Peter and Luan Eng, they took the stage and from the looks of it relished every single moment.
Our evaluators added much value to our meeting as well with their acute observations. Thank you, Run Bin, SweeTiong , Zhuo Jun, Yours Truly, Kim Heng and Andrew!
Ronny, as a rookie table topic masters, you were awesome. So are the other appointment holders like: Linda, Jane, Richard, Virginia, Thank you for helping the meeting run like clock work!
Until the 01 Nov 2012, enjoy the photos taken!
