Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club 377th Chapter Meeting on 6 May 2010

Within a space of 1 week, we will be having another chapter meeting!  Yes, it is a sign of our clubs’ progress and dynamism that we have (yet) another strong line up of speakers to wow and thrill us!

Join us this Thursday night and be thrilled but what the best of Tampines Changkat TMC has to offer!
  • Watch our members take center stage as they attempt various Projects on their personal journey towards Excellence in Communications.  Following her fascinating Project 3 on how to play a Board Game, let’s see what Linda Huang has in store for us as she attempts her Project 4.  Kenneth Koh has come a long way in a short time, and he will reach the halfway mark on his journey towards Competent Communicator Award as he will be attempting his Project 5.  With momentum on his side, and also fresh from winning the best prepared speech ribbon in the last meeting, Lim Zhi Qiang is back to please our ears with his Project 7.  Giving Zhi Qiang a run for his money is Paul Teo, who never fails to entertain and educate with his exciting speeches.  Having played the role of “Award Presenter” in her last project speech, Constance Yip will be switching roles this time as she attempts AP5 from the Special Occasions Speeches Manual “Receiving an Award”.  We also have a guest presenter, Joni Siah from Katong TMC, who will be attempting her AP4 from the Speak to Inform manual.  An elegant speaker, members definitely can learn a lot from watching Joni Siah speak.
  • Atindra Ghosh and Daniel Lim will be taking on their 2nd Projects, and from feedback from previous speeches, they had wowed us with their opening speeches, they can only get even better!  Marcus Xiao’s enthusiasm is always evident, and he will bring this energy into his Project 4 I am sure!  Watch also as Terry Tan and Kenneth Koh attempt their Projects 5, marking the half-way mark on their journey towards Competent Communicator Award.  After a hiatus of 4 months, Lim Zhi Qiang is back to thrill the audience with his Project 6, we await with baited breadth as to what he will be sharing with us this time round!  Finally, to grace the event, we have the ever elegant Constance Yip, who will be attempting a very interesting Project “Presenting an Award”.  I wonder who will be the lucky “recipient” of this award?
  • We have also invited an exciting line up of Project Evaluators from various clubs to grace our chapter meeting.  Area D3 governor Karen Tan from Raffles Town Club TMC is a highly experienced toastmaster, and her insights will be highly valuable to our speakers.  Michael Chang from NTU Alumni TMC is a sharp and precise evaluator, whose evaluations always provide interesting insights to speakers and the audience alike.  Joni Siah will bring her elequent and empathetic evaluation style to the table, while Malcolm Chen is a top notch evaluator who is much sought after in Toastmasters Clubs around SingaporeAnne Marie Guttierez is an elegant and cultured speaker, watch out for her assured and classy delivery.  Taking on this formidable line up of Evaluator is our club’s very own DTM Michael Wee.
  • We will also be having a special presentation segment by Thomas Tan, who will be attempting his High Performance Leadership speech.  Evaluating his speech will be DTM Chong Cheng Lee
