First Ever

While we soak in the euphoria of the successful Humorous speech and speech evaluation contests held last Thursday, 6 Sep 12.

Where Kin Foong and Run Bin contended with the strong challengers and broke through to the Area S4 contest.

A strong testimony that Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club is serious in a fun way. However, just a week before on Friday, 31 Aug 2012, we prove that we are also serious about having fun.

On that day, we had our first ever restaurant chapter meeting at Oriton Cafe!!!

Below is the highlight of events that happened on the 31st, as felt, seen and heard by our esteemed club president, Ted Chong.

Dear Folks,

Our 1st  ever restaurant chapter meeting  was a huge success yesterday! Thanks to all of you. 

The turnout was splendid as almost all seats were fully filled. As with any events, there were some minor glitches such as TV screen not working, ribbons and buzzer were not present and food was not quite enough, but with sheer determination, we manage to exercise our impromptu thinking and circumvent all these problems to ensure a smooth meeting. Awesome

Many guests and members have offered raving feedback for this meeting. 

Kin Foong asked how often can we have such a meeting in restaurant  as he like it tremendously. 

Leslie mentioned that the meeting was very well-organized. He also said that the table topics were very light-hearted and well chosen for the event. 

Roger enjoyed himself and say that the chapter meeting was warm, cozy and heartening. 

Special mention to Carl, Kejin and Gurmit for putting the program together. 

Let us continue the momentum for future successes throughout the term.
