Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club 363th Chapter Meeting - 1 October 2009

Are you free this Thursday Night, 1^st October? It’s children’s Day / Youth Day! So leave your kids to have fun!! Come join us for our Club’s 363^nd Chapter Meeting!!

Highlights you do not want to miss:

· Immediate Past President DTM Michael Wee, will be presenting an Advanced Project from the Interpretive Reading Manual – the Monodrama. With his polished and powerful speaking style, this promises to be another speech to look forward to!

· 2 of our new members Lim Zhi Qiang and S K Low will be presenting Projects 1 and 2 respectively. The first speech is always the breakthrough speech for anyone on the road to Public Speaking, so be there to witness our dashing new member Lim Zhi Qiang take on this challenge with warrior like spirit!

· We have invited a couple of young and dynamic guest evaluators from Bukit Timah CC TMC, Anne Lim and Gary Kwon, who will take on the roles of Language Evaluator and Project Evaluator respectively. Anne always brings great energy and knowledge in her speech delivery, and Gary has an analytical and encouraging style of evaluation. We look forward to learning from them.

Tampines Changkat Community Centre Open House - 27 Septemeber 2009

On 27/9/2009, Tampines Changkat Community Centre was celebrating their Open House and we were given to a booth to publicise to the public on what we do as a Tampines Changkat Toastmaster.

It was a simple yet grand event. Guest-Of-Honour: Ms Irene Ng (MP for Tampines GRC and Adviser to Tampines GROs. It was our priviledge to introduce her what we do to help our member to improve their communications, public speaking and leadership skills.


We will like to take this opportunity to thank Tampines Changkat Community Centre to give us a space for our publicity on this special day of Tampines Changkat CC and the hospitality you had given to us.

Area S4 Hurmorous Speech & Evaluation Contest - 19 September 2009

Area S4 Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contest, both category Champion came from Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club!!! Woooohoooo!!!

Luan Eng was the Humorous Speech Contest Champion & Jin Hwui was the Evaluation Contest Champion!

Area S4 Humourous Speech & Contest - 19 September 2009

On this 19/9/2009, our Area S4 will be having our Area Humourous Speech & Evaluation Contest at Tampines Changkat Community Center Auditorium.

Other than our Area contest, Jean Giam will also be giving an interesting introductory about PhotoReading. Do you believe our human mind can read 25,000 word per minute? PhotoReading is a reading skill that can help you to manage your reading needs. Besides PhotoReading may able to create more time, or perhaps money and respect!

Most importantly, our Club Champions, Ng Luan Eng and Lee Jin Hwui will be competing with other Area S4 clubs in the Contest.

Do Come & give them the Greatest & Loudest Support!!!

Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club 362nd Chapter Meeting on 17 September 2009

Join us this Thursday 17^th September for our Club’s 362^nd Chapter Meeting!! This is a meeting you definitely DO NOT WANT TO MISS!!

· Eric Feng, a well reknowned Public Speaking Coach, and author of the book <>> will be the Guest Speaker and he will be sharing with us on “How To Add Humor Into Your Speeches”.

· 2 of the standout members of our club last term Constance Yip and Kelvin Cheng will be doing Advance Project Speeches. They have come a long way in their public speaking arena in a very short time, and they will be taking yet another step in their Toastmasters journey!!

· We have invited young and dynamic guest evaluator Gurion Ang, who will be our LE for the day. His dynamic speaking style and knowledge is something we can all learn from! Also join our other invited evaluators Adrianna Tan and Vera Wee.

PA Humorous Speech Contest

After a a fierce battle, they were the top 12 speakers out of 30 speakers that were competing in the semi-finals last Saturday (5/9/2009).

They had successfully made it to the Final of the PA Humorous Speech Contest!

Hi All!

Our Club next Chapter Meeting will be held this Thursday 3rd September!! And in this special evening, our club is holding our Club Humourous Speech & Evaluation Contest 2009.

Come join us for an evening of Laughter, Entertainment and Amusement, as the Contestants attempt to entertain us and tickle our funny bones!!
