Below are the dates for Area S4 & Division S Speech and Table Topics Contests.
 
1) Area S4 International Speech and Table Topics Contests : 13th March 2010
    Venue: Temasek Polytechnic (Theatre for event to be confirmed)
    Time: 2:00pm to 5:00pm (to be confirmed later)
    Admission: Free

2) Div S International Speech and Table Topics Contests: 17th April 2010
    Venue: Nee Soon East CC
    Time: 1:30pm to 5:30pm
    Admission: $5:00


Do remember to give our Club Champions Tony & Edward our Greatest Support on 13/3/2010 at Temasek Polytechnic.

Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club 372nd Chapter Meeting on 4 March 2010

As we March into the 3rd Month of 2010, it's time to take stock of how our year has went so far, and where we stand in terms of achieving our goals.  As we reflect, it is also timely booster for our minds, our souls and our spirits to be inspired by the works of others, and the friendship and fellowship of fellow members.

This Thursday, 4th March Chapter Meeting promises to be just the fuel for our souls with an exciting line up of programmes!

• Watch an impressive line up of Prepared Speech Speakers.  Watch our newest member Marcus Xiao do his maiden Project Speech: The Ice Breaker.  Marcus has designs on being a future professional speaker, so be there to witness the very first step he takes on this journey!  Terry Tan is back to entertain us and this time he is doing his Project 4: How to Say It.  If his previous speeches, which included stories from his overseas trips are anything to go by, we are sure to be entertained again!  We have a guest speaker Carolyn Lim, who will be attempting her Project 5.  2 of our club's dynamic speakers, Tony Hoo and Coen Tan will be attempting Advanced Projects from the Speaking to Inform Manual.  Previously, they have both given us speeches to remember, with Coen's demonstration speech on the resistance band, and Tony Hoo so graphically slurping Soba in front of us, let's see what they can "cook" up for us this time!

• We have also invited some of the finest evaluators to our Club.  Chan Wee Yang brings his energetic and bubbly style of speaking, Sean Loke is a dynamic and charismatic speaker, Kok Yee Keong is sure to entertain and add value to us with his sharp wit and smooth delivery style, while Saint Yi Htet is a very sincere and encouraging evaluator, with a sharp analytical mind to boot!  These project evaluators are sure to give our clubs' Evaluation Champion DTM Lee Jin Hwui a run for his money in the stakes for Best Evaluator.  One of the most charismatic Language Evaluator, Kenneth Wee will also be gracing our chapter meeting.

• We have also invited the slick and eloquent Vera Wee from Changi-Simei TMC as our Toastmaster of the Evening.  Many of us will remember her charming her way into our hearts and to the Best Speaker Ribbon from our last meeting, and she's the perfect person to weave together a meeting containing so much highlights!

Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club 371st Chapter Meeting on 18 Feb 2010

Happy Chinese New Year!  Gong Xi Fa Cai!  Hope you have had a great Chinese New Year Celebration!

 

While enriching our pockets and packing our stomachs with goodies, shouldn't we also nourish our minds with more goodies?

 

Goodies include:

• Our club's dynamic and enthusiastic speaker take the stage once again.  We welcome back 2 members whose spectacular speeches we have missed for a long time!  Constance Yip will be attempting AP1 of the Special Occasions Speeches, and will be doing a Toast (to who I wonder?), how fitting that would be, as we are still basking in Lunar New Year festivities.  Paul Teo is back and set to dazzle us once again, as he presents his Project 7.  Who can forget Sim Hua Soon's previous speech where he introduced himself as a master of languages?  His quirky sense of humor will likely be at the fore again, as we await his Project 2!
• Gregory Ernoult will add a galic flavor to the proceedings with yet another speech from the better speaker series.  This time, he will be presenting a speech on "How to Organize your Speech".  Visiting Toastmaster Vera Wee from Changi-Simei TMC will attempt to charm her way into our hearts as she will be presenting an AP1 of the Interpersonal Communications Manual - Converse with Ease.  We await to see how she will be tackling this very difficult project!
• We also have an array of Guest Evaluators from other clubs. all over Singapore  David Kow from Tiarel TMC brings his analytical approach to evaluation, while Paul Lee from Leng Kee TMC will be making his first appearance at Tampines Changkat, we wait to hear from him.  Gabriel Leong from SIM II TMC is one of the much respected Language Evaluators in Toastmasters Movement, and he will surely bring refreshing insights as Language Evaluator for the Day.  We also have guest as the ah-counter, a role which will be performed by Chua Li Huay from DSTA TMC.

 

With this and more, there is no reason for you to be anywhere else, but Tampines Changkat TMC this Thursday!
