'Back-To-Basic' Speech Evaluation Workshop - 12 September 2009

Area S4 is organising 'Back-To-Basic' Speech Evaluation Workshop on 12/9/2009 (Saturday) at 2 - 5pm in Tampines Changkat Community Center Auditorium.

The workshop aims:
• To provide toastmasters with a primer on the finer art of speech evaluation
• To reinforce the fundamentals of speech evaluation at Toastmasters chapter meetings
• To discover ways to improve speech evaluation skills - both individually and as a club

Highlights of the Workshop:
• Two ‘walk-the-talk’ charismatic presenters will speak on the fundamentals of effective speech evaluations
• "Live" demonstrations involving test speakers and evaluators and moderated by the 2 presenters
• Audience will have opportunity to learn through active hands-on ‘practice’ through participation
• Self-assessment quiz at end of workshop

Time: 2 - 5pm
Venue: Tampines Changkat Community Center Auditorium (Level 4)

1. DTM John Sih is one of the most in-demand Language Evaluators around and his Light-hearted approach to LE is always so enlivening, entertaining and enriching!!

2. DTM William Lim is an accomplished Corporate Trainer who has even authored the book <>

· Our Resident Funny Man “Tony Hoooooo” is in the house and he will be the Toastmaster of the Evening! Buckle up for a night of High Energy, Laughter and Spontaneity!

· There will be 6 Project Speeches, and:

1. Our newest member S.K. Low will be delivering his Ice Breaker Speech

2. Paul Teo always speaks with his good looks, and it is on show as he will be presenting P5 “Your Body Speaks”!

• Our own “Taiji Master” Kelvin Cheng will be taking on the Role as Toastmaster of the Evening for the first time. Watch how he performs and give him our fullest support!

• An exceptional line up of Guest Evaluators, who will not only be helping our Project Speakers with their speeches, but provide role models for our members to learn Excellent Evaluation Skills from. Cheng Chia Yi, a young, talented and gifted speaker will be visiting our club as Language Evaluator. She’ll be serving up a smorgasbord of Language Tips to improve our Spoken English.
